Art Newspaper Painting

My learning outcome for this assessment is to have a clean and even coat of paint making my painting look smooth and keeping the words from seeking through.

For this painting, I decided to use 2 colors, white and red. I mainly used white around the whole painting, and just a hint of red making it pop out more. Having more white around the painting makes it look better and doesn't really overcome the red. But painting white over words is hard as the words usually seep through so I have to put a lot more paint and make it thick. My next step is to clean up the edges of the painting and use a fine brush to paint around the words to make sure I don't paint over it and that it looks clean. and once I'm done and the painting is dry, I will make patterns on it to make it look more pleasing.

Art Portfolio

This drawing/painting is the first edition to my art portfolio. This is a drawing of a mountain I found off of google and it is placed on a unique background I made with charcoal. I created the background by just drawing things that first came to mind. Once I had the page ruffly filled, I added a bunch of dots everywhere just to fill the background up completely. I then added a layer of  Crystal Clear spray to stop my work from smudging. And finally, I added the mountain with paint to make it stand out.
