Information on bones


  1. Osteoporosis.                                                                                                                       Osteoporosis is referred to weak and porous bones that are incapable of maintaining normal bone functions.
  2. Osteogenesis imperfecta.                                                                                              Osteogenesis imperfecta is a disorder of bones with genetically pattern of inheritance.
  3. Paget.                                                                                                                                      Paget disease of bone is another common musculoskeletal issue that may also involve other systems like hearing.
  4. Fracture.                                                                                                                           Fracture refers to a breech or break in the continuity of bones. Although, any bone of the body can get fractured if the force of impact is severe, the most commonly fractured bones are long bones of the body (like humerus, ulna, radius, femur, tibia and fibula).
  5. Fibrous Dysplasia.

Bones


Lo- Be able to identify bones and describe the function of some of the skeletal system.

  1. We have 206 bones in our body
  2. We need bones to help our body stay up right. We need bones to keep our body in shape. We need bones to move our body.
  3. The skull is to protect our brain.
  4. The rib cage is to protect our heart and lungs.
